Intelligent self-service Safety Data Sheet authoring is a fully automated, GHS-compliant SDS authoring solution to assist companies in getting their chemical-containing products in the market quickly. This online solution guides you with step-by-step, logic-based questions to collect the information necessary to create an accurate SDS. Your information and answers determine the logic applied to each subsequent question, allowing you to author a GHS-compliant SDS.

After your successful submission, your SDS will be available in a PDF format in your account within two (2) business days*.

How to get your free Safety Data Sheets

UL is offering the use of to create up to two (2) free* SDS before June 30, 2020. If you are a supplier or retailer with an urgent need for a Safety Data Sheet related to supply chain disruption, please send your contact information to, with a short description of your request.

A UL representative will contact you with a unique, single-use promotion code for After your successful submission, your SDS will be available in a PDF format in your account within two (2) business days*. You can also choose to order your SDS in additional languages for US $125 for each language.
