We have recently launched the first in a series of Industry Insider e-books, featuring informative articles from industry experts around a central theme. The first e-book, Functional Pigments, provides insight into the various purposes of functional pigments, material deep dives, and formulation tips.
As Marc Hirsch explains in the e-book introduction, functional pigments include materials that hide or prime, prevent corrosion, provide special effects, and extend coatings. Each type performs one or multiple functions in a coating, and understanding those functions is crucial in coating formulation.
