Full Course Overview
This one day course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the classification and labelling process in accordance with the CLP regulation.
Companies placing hazardous chemicals on the European market have a responsibility to ensure that products are classified and labelled correctly. Classification is the most important step and is essential for determining the correct label information and subsequently preparing compliant safety data sheets (SDSs). The product label is often the main source for users to make themselves aware of the hazards a product presents, and conveying the correct and appropriate information is imperative.
This course will cover the classification process in accordance with CLP, identifying the approaches for both substances and mixtures, and how to take the resulting classification forward to prepare compliant products labels. The course adopts an interactive approach and includes examples which will enhance your skills and equip you with the knowledge and practical ability to determine product classifications, and ensure that products are being supplied downstream with a correct label.
