Speaker: John Stewart Ph.D., Regulatory Specialist

Presentation Time: Thursday 19th April 09:30 – 10:00

Location: Technical Seminars Theatre 3

Topic: Chemicals banned or restricted for use in cosmetics under EU law

Topic Description: Suppliers (manufacturers/importers/exporters) that place cosmetic products on the EU market are required to comply with a range of EU legislation. Control measures intended to make cosmetics safer, originate from differing pieces of legislation, and may impact a products ability to go to market.

Companies need to monitor these regulations on an ongoing basis for any changes that may affect their business. One key control measure involves the banning and restricting of chemicals for use in cosmetic products.

Details of these substances, including their restriction criteria will be provided, serving as essential information for all formulators and suppliers of cosmetic products.

Further information on John’s seminar can be found here.
