Full Course Overview

These (2) online courses are designed to provide regulatory professionals with information on chemical control regulations in China. The courses are structured to emphasize China REACH and China GHS.

The first session provides an overview of China REACH (Measures on Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances) which regulates new chemical substances. Manufacturers and importers of a new chemical substance must submit a notification in accordance with the Guidance for New Chemical Substance Notification. The Guidance for New Chemical Substance Notification is currently under revision, and changes introduced by the revised Guidance for New Chemical Substance Notification will be discussed in the course.

The second session addresses the principle regulations on managing hazardous chemicals in China issued under Decree 591. This course will introduce the license and registration obligations for Chinese manufacturers and importers of hazardous chemicals, followed by a focus on the China GHS; which is implemented in China through a series of National Standards. By studying the new standards, you will learn how to meet China’s specific requirements on GHS classification and hazard communication.
